We love working with clients to craft new commissions. It gives us real pleasure to take an idea and make bespoke work to fit your project whatever size it may be. We work with interior designers and private clients internationally, designing and making beautiful work to fit a range of settings.
Commissioning us: How it works
DESIGN
We will invite you to show us any images which help us to understand your aesthetic and what you’re aiming for. You will select the type of work you are most interested in. We are happy to receive sketches on the back of envelopes and snaps from your phone.
Our approach is to shape the work to fit your space. It helps us if we can see this. We encourage you to visit the studio, meet us and handle the materials. Of course, we can do this through video calls and sending samples. Together we can agree the dimensions and aesthetic of the commission.
MATERIALS
We work with a variety of characterful materials including willow, straw, rush, hay, heather and sometimes cane. We love and respect the natural variation that occurs with the materials we use. This means that whilst we work to specific designs, no two items are ever really the same. We celebrate this and hope you will too.
MAKING
All work including baskets and lighting which we send out is made to order. This means we can make adjustments to a piece we are making to suit your design.
PAYMENT
When the design is agreed we ask for a 50% deposit. The outstanding 50% is due when the work is ready for delivery.
PRODUCTION
We are happy for you to visit our studio while the work is being made. We also welcome clients during our willow harvesting in January.
LEAD TIME
We work with a lead time of 20 weeks from payment of a deposit. Sometimes this may be shorter. If your commission needs to be completed by a certain date, please do let us know.
DELIVERY
We will deliver your work in the agreed timeframe and budget. If the commission is a gift we would be delighted to gift wrap it.
